Sir John Vincent Hurt is a famous English film actor. For outstanding performance he received an award from the British Film Academy four times. In 1979 he won the Golden Globe for his role in the film Midnight Express.
Biography
The future actor was born on the 22nd day of January 1940 in the small English town of Chesterfield. John's father worked for a long time in the field of mathematics, but by the time his son appeared, he had dropped out of science and became a priest. The head of the family established very harsh rules, sometimes he forbade his children to play and communicate with their peers, believing that they were not pious enough.
When Hurt Jr. was eight, he went to school, which was in Kent. There he first touched the wonderful theatrical art. The boy was invited to play one of the roles in the production of "Blue Bird". The actor has been married four times. The last chosen one of Hurt was a girl named Anwen Rhys Meyers, with whom he married in 2005.
In 2015, the actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite this, he continued to work actively, but after two years of unsuccessful struggle with the disease, he died. On January 25, 2017, he was found in his own home in Cromer.
