Once the zip code of the mailbox was memorized as a child, along with the house number and street name. Now we remember by heart e-mail and passwords from credit cards. And to find out the index will have to make some effort.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the official website of the Russian Post (www.russianpost.ru). On the left side of the main page, find the link "Find post offices". On the page that opens, enter the parameters of your place of residence (or the place whose zip code you want to find out). In the drop-down lists, select the region, district, settlement. Write down the street name and house number. You can also write the entire address at once in the "Search by address" column. In this case, first dial the name of the city, then the street, house number. Do not put any punctuation marks between the names and do not write prefixes (city, street, house). If the house number contains a letter, put it immediately after the number, without a space. The case number, on the other hand, is written after a space. Click on the search button located at the bottom of the page.
Step 2
The search result will be the address of the post office that serves the named house. The required index will be written in the first column of the table with the address.
Step 3
In addition to the official mail site, there are resources dedicated exclusively to index search. Type in the line of any Internet search engine the phrase "find out the postal code" and go to any of the proposed sites. As a rule, information on them is sorted by city names (they are presented as a list in alphabetical order).
Step 4
If you realized that you do not know the index, before sending the parcel directly by mail, contact the operator that accepts the mail. It will suggest your index and find the destination index in its database.
Step 5
You can also find the desired combination of numbers at home. Look, perhaps, you have old letters or boxes from parcels and parcels. The index will be written on them under your postal address.
