Switzerland is a prestigious country, favorable for living. However, the high requirements for potential immigrants do not reduce the number of people who want to live in this country.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine in what capacity you want to go to Switzerland: as a university student, spouse of a Swiss citizen, immigrant businessman or specialist under an employment contract. Typically, a student is issued a visa for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extending it for the duration of his studies. After completing your studies, you must return home. As for working as a highly qualified specialist, it should be understood that there are more than enough such specialists in Switzerland. In addition, the company concluding a contract with you must provide evidence that a specialist of the required level and qualifications was not found in Switzerland, which is unlikely. In the case of a work contract, you will receive a work visa for a period of 1 year. After multiple visa extensions and 10 years of residence in Switzerland, apply for a residence permit. A faster way to obtain a residence permit (after 3 months) is business investment - a very popular, albeit expensive, way.
Step 2
Decide which Swiss canton you want to move to. There are some differences in cantonal immigration laws that need to be taken into account.
Step 3
Prepare a business plan, consult on the need for a license for the selected type of activity.
Step 4
Contact a law firm and invest at least CHF 1 million in your own project or a project proposed to you by the authorities. After registering the company, make the first investment contribution in the amount of 200 thousand francs (or the amount agreed by the cantonal authorities).
Step 5
Get a residence permit for one year.
Step 6
Pay your investment fees annually and renew your residence permit.
Step 7
After 10 years of living in Switzerland, apply for permanent residence and after another 2 years you can apply for Swiss citizenship.
