It is quite possible to issue a passport for a serviceman if he does not have access to classified information and, accordingly, his travel abroad does not entail a threat to the security interests of the Russian Federation.
Instructions
Step 1
If you decide to go on vacation abroad, then you must inform your higher management about this (submit a report) and only then start collecting documents for a passport. It is possible that the bosses may have some plans for you, about which you do not know anything yet. And if these plans are associated with gaining access to classified information, you will not be able to issue a passport.
Step 2
Get a positive response to your report and collect all the documents that you need in the FMS: - a certified copy of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation; - an old passport (if any); - a copy of a work book certified by a higher management (with notes about the last 10 years of experience, if they are available); - 2 photos 3, 5 × 4, 5 (black and white or color, on matte paper in an oval); - a certificate from the military registration and enlistment office (required in any case).
Step 3
Prepare also two copies of the questionnaire, in which indicate that you do not have access to classified information, the disclosure of which would entail a threat to the security of the Russian Federation. In addition, you will be required to indicate that you do not have outstanding loans and other obligations, failure to fulfill which could prevent your travel abroad. Answer the questions of the questionnaire as honestly as possible, since all information is subject to mandatory strict verification. You can get the forms from the Federal Migration Service.
Step 4
Verify both copies with your superior management. If you are a military pensioner, you will need to present, in addition to the pension certificate, the original work book. In this case, you do not need to certify the application form.
Step 5
Submit all documents to the FMS department at your place of residence. Take an additional photo for your biometric passport. Pay the state duty in the established amount and wait for an answer. In case of a positive decision, obtain a passport by contacting the same department of the FMS.
