A military ID is the main document of personal military registration, which certifies the identity and rights of military personnel. It determines the attitude of citizens in the reserve to the performance of military duty. The validity of the document depends entirely on the correctness and timeliness of its execution.

Step 1
A citizen who has reached draft age (18-27 years) and has received a summons from the military registration and enlistment office must come to the draft board. With him, he needs to have a passport or birth certificate, certificates of marital status, from the place of work or study, a diploma of education and a medical certificate of health, as well as a number of other papers. Having considered the submitted package of documents, the members of the commission make one of the decisions: either they release the young man from military service, or grant him a reprieve, or draft him into the army. In the latter case, the military ID will be issued at the collection point before being sent to the duty station.
Step 2
If a young man is recognized as not subject to conscription into the ranks of the Russian armed forces or upon reaching the age of 27, the draft commission enrolls him in the reserve, and a military card is issued upon presentation of an extract from the minutes of its meeting.

How to issue a military ID for a citizen who, before the age of 27, was not on the summons to the military registration and enlistment office In this case, write to the name of the military commissar a statement with a request to issue a military ID and attach two matte photographs without a corner to the appeal; passport, educational diploma and, if any, driver's license, as well as copies of all these documents. It is better to write the application in duplicate. One of them, together with the above copies, should be transferred to the office of the military registration and enlistment office, and the second, with a note of receipt (date of admission and data of the officer on duty), should be kept for yourself. If the documents are not accepted at the military registration and enlistment office, they should be sent by registered mail.
Step 4
How to get a new military ID instead of a lost one In this case, contact the military commissariat at your place of residence and write a statement about the restoration of the loss. Attach the documents required for issuing a ticket to the application: passport, photographs (3x4), a certificate confirming the appeal to the police in this regard, and also, if there is an exemption from service, a medical examination. At the same time, you need to be prepared for the fact that for the loss of a military ID you will be punished in the form of a warning or a fine in the amount of 500 to one thousand rubles (this depends on the circumstances under which it was lost, and how quickly you applied for its restoration).
