There are many Cossack societies in the Russian Federation, each of which has its own charter and traditions enshrined in tradition. Therefore, the conditions for joining various Cossack organizations can also be different. However, the Russian Council for Cossack Affairs has developed a single document establishing an approximate procedure for joining the ranks of the Cossacks, which may vary from case to case.
It is necessary
- - application form addressed to the ataman of the Cossack organization;
- -written petitions of two Cossacks of a given Cossack society;
- -copy of identity documents;
- - two photographs measuring 3x4 centimeters.
Instructions
Step 1
Write in your own hand a statement addressed to the ataman of the Cossack society, to join which you wish to. In this statement, written sometimes in a free form, sometimes according to the existing model, you need to ask the ataman to accept you into the ranks of the Cossacks, arguing in some way for your request - it is best to indicate the real reasons prompting you to join the Cossack society, briefly mentioning your civil and political views. Do not forget to also mention that you are a citizen of Russia and have reached the age of eighteen - these conditions for joining the Cossack society are mandatory.
Step 2
Prepare and attach to the application written petitions of two Cossacks from the Cossack organization you intend to join, copies of documents confirming the information you provided in the application, and, finally, two photographs measuring 3x4 centimeters. According to the rules adopted almost everywhere, a personal file is set up for each member of the Cossack society, in which the submitted documents will be permanently stored.
Step 3
Wait until the general meeting of the Cossacks decides to accept you into their ranks. Usually it takes about a month to make a decision on this issue. If the meeting answers in the affirmative, you may be assigned a probationary period, after which you will receive a Cossack certificate from the ataman's hands. After the probationary period, during which you will have to study the charter and traditions of the society, you will only have to acquire the form of the established sample and begin to get used to your new status.
