There is an opportunity to engage in self-development - a gym and a library, as a rule, are always available in the colonies. Of course, you should not be guided by American films, where prisoners can exercise, as in the best fitness clubs. But a horizontal bar, simple exercise machines, dumbbells attached to chains can be found here. Therefore, in order not to degrade, some convicts behind bars are engaged in their physical development.
It is also unlikely to find novelties of literature or knowledge in some narrow areas in the library, but classical literature is presented here. You can, if you wish, get hold of in prison or ask relatives to send textbooks on the necessary disciplines so as not to degrade intellectually.
