Register a minor grandson with your grandmother if the apartment is privatized and one of the parents has a share in it. You do not need the consent of other owners to do this. It will be enough to show the passport officer a certificate of ownership of the property.
Step 2
You can register a minor grandson in a privatized apartment, where one non-owner parent is registered, only with the permission of the owners of the living space. Even if the grandmother does not mind as the owner of the apartment, and other homeowners oppose such a decision, you will not be able to register her grandson at this address.
Step 3
Register a minor grandson with his grandmother if the apartment is municipal and one of the parents is registered in the same living space. However, you may be denied registration of a child if, after his registration, the area attributable to each tenant is less than the accounting norm.
Step 4
You will not be able to register a child with a grandmother if at least one of the parents is not registered at the same address or does not have a share in the ownership of this living space. In accordance with current legislation, a child under 14 years old can only be registered with one of the parents.
Step 5
If the child is left without parents (they died or were deprived of parental rights), then the grandmother will have to submit documents to the guardianship and guardianship authorities for registration of guardianship. After that, she will be able to register a minor grandson on her living space.
Step 6
If the grandson is already 14 years old, but not yet 18, then register him with the grandmother at the request of the parents, with her consent, as well as with the consent of all co-owners or co-tenants of the apartment where she lives. If the grandson has already reached the age of majority, then he himself has the right to choose where to register. But he can do this only with the consent of other family members registered on the living space or who are its owners.
