Alexey Eybozhenko passed away before his fiftieth birthday. During his short creative career, he managed to play fifty memorable roles in films and television performances. Alexei has always been attracted by roles in adventure, espionage and military films. The actor did not manage to realize much of his plans.
From the biography of Alexei Sergeevich Eybozhenko
The future actor was born on February 6, 1934 in the capital of the USSR. Alexey's grandmother on his father's side came from a French family. She even was in some relationship with the writer Georges Sand, whose novels the whole world was read. Alyosha's grandfather once owned real estate. One day he lost himself clean at cards and committed suicide in despair.
Alexei was only seven years old when the war broke out. Father was taken to the front. He died at the Kursk Bulge. Alexei's mother could not bear such a grievous loss - soon she was gone. The boy became an orphan. He had to build his own life, since he had no hope for help and support. Eybozhenko chose acting as his life's work.
The creative path of Alexei Eybozhenko
On stage Eybozhenko began to appear in his student years, when he studied at the "Shchepka". He brilliantly played in the performances "Two Captains", "Alien Child", "Star of Seville". Alexey received an actor's diploma in 1957. And he immediately joined the troupe of the Voronezh Drama Theater. Here he served for two years, after which he was transferred to the capital's theater of drama and comedy on Taganka. It was here that he met the love of his life.
Natasha Kenigson also studied at Sliver, but only a year younger than Eybozhenko. For her, Alexei was a legendary person about whom there were many rumors in the acting environment. Getting to know Alexei closer, Natalya was convinced that this is a sociable and simple-minded person. Their sympathy grew into a mutual feeling. They lived together for 16 happy years. The spouses did not like to receive guests. But not because they were reserved people. They just had enough of each other.
Working in the theater, Alexey confidently walked from one significant role to another. However, soon his fate turned: he began acting in films. Films with Eybozhenko's participation subsequently entered the golden fund of Russian cinematography. One of the first roles of Alexei in the cinema was the work in the film "On duty". Then he created a memorable image of the hero in the film "The Third Half".
In 1964, Eybozhenko became an actor in the troupe of the Mayakovsky Theater. Three years later he moved to the State Academic Maly Theater. Here the actor's repertoire was replenished with two dozen roles. Alexey continued to work in the cinema. He became widely known for the role of Commissioner Danilov in the film "For the rest of his life."
Two years later, Eybozhenko took part in the filming of the film "On Thin Ice", where he played the role of a brave security officer. In the center of the picture were images of state security officers who operated deep underground in the rear of the Nazis.
One of the most interesting works of Eybozhenko was the role of Colonel Vinnikov in the film "Fight after Victory". Then there were the films "The Road to Rübezal", "Seventeen Moments of Spring".
Nobody knows how many more successful roles Alexey Sergeevich could have added to the piggy bank of his creative achievements. He died early. The cause of death was heart disease. The actor died on December 26, 1980. The case of Eybozhenko is continued by his son, Alexei Alekseevich, who chose the difficult path of an actor and TV presenter for himself.
