One of these talents was revealed quite recently - this is the Russian single skater Anna Stanislavovna Shcherbakova. True, she is not yet called by her patronymic due to her age, but she has definitely earned her honor and respect. It was she who was the first among adult figure skaters to perform the quadruple lutz during the competition, which was organized by the International Skating Union. And also, for the first time in the history of Russian sports, she performed two quadruple lutz in one program.

Biography

The future figure skater was born in Moscow in 2004. Everyone in her family loved figure skating, although this love was expressed only in worrying about Russian athletes when they competed at prestigious competitions. Proudly watching the Russian flag rise at the championships of various ranks in honor of the victories of our skaters, Anya's parents did not suspect that someday their daughter would also stand on the podium.

However, when she was only three and a half years old, her mother brought her to the Khrustalny skating rink, where at that time the students of the children's and youth sports school were engaged. Of course, at that time it was still difficult to talk about any successes and talents, but the girl grew up, began to skate confidently, and then began to show the first good results.

Anya worked with her first coaches, Yulia Aleksandrovna Krasinskaya and Oksana Mikhailovna Bulycheva, as long as the sports school was an independent unit. And when she became an integral part of the system of the Sambo-70 Sports and Education Center, she got another coach - the famous teacher Eteri Tutberidze.

Until now, Anya works with Eteri Georgievna, whom she considers a very fair coach, kind and moderately strict - enough to keep discipline of her pupils, who still have a slightly different life than their peers. Shcherbakova also speaks with great warmth about coach Sergei Dudakov and choreographer Daniil Gleichengauz. She perfectly understands that without the support of everyone who makes numbers for her, she would not be able to do what she is doing now.

Eteri Georgievna created such a working team, in which there is almost a family atmosphere. She constantly says that older comrades should replace younger parents, because many rarely see their closest people.

Figure skating

Gradually, Anya Shcherbakova reached the level where she could be sent to important competitions. And in 2012, she made her debut: the Open Championship of the city of Moscow, where it was possible to earn the prize of the President of the Figure Skating Federation. This time, the eight-year-old skater lacked experience and courage, and she was in twenty-second place among twenty-nine participants.

And then the real sports character of the girl manifested itself: she did not worry, but accepted everything as an experience. Of course, older and more experienced skaters and coaches helped, but Anya herself steadfastly withstood this defeat.

And now, a season later, she showed a truly victorious result: the judges of the Memorial S. A. Zhuk was awarded her second place. This victory was especially important then, because Anya even surpassed the rising star of figure skating, Alexandra Trusova.

In 2015, she was again sent to the tournament: it was the "Crystal Horse", and Shcherbakova brought her school bronze.

The 2015-2016 season became rich in bronze medals for Anya: she received them during the Open Cup of the Moscow Figure Skating Federation, as well as the S. Volkov Memorial. Shcherbakova also successfully completed the Moscow championship among boys and girls, winning bronze.

This meant that she passed the selection for the national championship.

Since then, Shcherbakova began to storm a variety of standings, and she has many victories. In the fall of 2016, when there were stages of the Russian Cup, she won the tournaments twice. And by doing so, she confirmed the category of candidate for master of sports. It was a great achievement and great joy for her.

However, sportsmen's life is often "striped", and success can be followed by a series of defeats. It happened with Anya: after the 2017 Cup, she was only eighth.

And then success again: in 2017, two silver medals after the Volkov Memorial and the Moscow Open Tournament. And the championship of Russia brought her second place.

And now fortune turned its back on Anya: she was injured. The fact is that the choreographer Daniil Gleichengauz decided to introduce jumps in four turns into the performances of young athletes. And at first everything went smoothly for them: Alexandra Trusova was successful with a quadruple salchow, and Anna Shcherbakova - a sheepskin coat. She also practiced the quad and triple toe loop cascade, and was quite successful. The trainer and choreographer were of the same opinion that it is quite possible to include multi-turn jumps in each skater's free program.

All training programs were filmed and sent to the Youtube channel. It was evident from them that the performance of these difficult jumps in girls is quite stable. However, the injury could not be avoided: during an attempt to make a cascade with a triple jump, Anya was injured.

True, she quickly returned to training, and already in January 2017 took second place in the Moscow Cup.

In 2018, Anna took first place at the Russian Cup final, and in 2019 she became the champion of Russia.

Personal life

Anna Shcherbakova, when not performing, looks like an ordinary teenager: she walks with friends, plays with dogs, travels. He also maintains his own social networks, where he communicates with fans and friends.
