The bronze medalist of the XXX Olympic Games Zofia Nocheti-Klepatskaya announced such a decision at the Warsaw airport to all journalists and fans who met her. The reason for this unexpected act was her five-year-old neighbor Zuzya, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, a serious genetic disease characterized by impaired functions of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract.
According to the athlete, this girl is her most loyal cheerleader, who also spends her whole life in a serious struggle. She only fights for the right to live.
Even before the start of the Olympics, Nocheti-Klepatskaya promised the girl that she would definitely win this medal for her sake. And then they will sell it, buy a big bouncy castle with a slide, and spend every autumn in warm regions so that the girl gets better. Perhaps, to some extent, this will help the little girl to deal with the terrible diagnosis.
