Friendship, which has linked people in difficult military conditions, sometimes lasts a lifetime. But it so happens that fate scatters fellow soldiers not only in distant cities, but also in different countries. Finding lost friends in this case is not easy. However, there are ways to meet an army comrade, and you should not lose hope.

Step 1
If you remember the names and surnames of your co-workers, try to find them using social networking sites. The Internet is now available even in the most remote areas, and computers in families are no longer a rarity. Perhaps your friends are already registered on one of the sites, then you can easily find them there.
Step 2
To make your search for co-workers on social networks more successful, fill out the questionnaire when registering on these sites, indicate your exact age, first and last name that you had at the time of service. Enter information about the type of troops where you served and the number of your unit. Look for groups that help people who have served together to meet. Such groups and associations exist in every social network.
Step 3
If you still have the phone number of at least one colleague or his relatives, contact him. Perhaps he is in contact with someone else from his fellow soldiers. So along the chain you can find all your lost friends.
Step 4
If the search is in vain, and you can't find colleagues, contact the unit command with a request. Military archives have been kept for quite a long time, and most likely they will be able to help you and give out the necessary information. Even if your friend did not have a telephone at the time of the service, his home address was sure to be preserved in his personal file. At the address you can write a letter or send a telegram, or even go to visit a colleague.
Step 5
If the archival data has not been preserved, or a colleague has changed his place of residence, there is a chance to find him using television and radio broadcasts. Contact the programs that search for missing people. These programs are broadcast on popular channels, watched and listened to by millions. There is a very good chance that your friend will know that you are looking for him. Be sure to leave a contact phone number in the editorial office so that a friend can contact you.
Step 6
Notify as many people as possible that you are looking for co-workers. Oddly enough, word of mouth works very well. Maybe help will come from the side from which you did not expect it at all, and you will meet your fellow soldiers.
