On August 2, at a briefing in London, the President broke the silence and spoke for the first time about the sensational Pussy Riot case. So far, only Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has commented on the high-profile case.
"There is nothing good in this," RIA Novosti quotes the president as saying. "I wouldn't really like to comment." At the same time, Putin still noted that only the court should make the final decision in the Pussu Riot case: "I hope that the court will make the correct decision, well-grounded."
When asked whether this topic was raised during talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the president replied in the negative: "No, they did not remember." The main topic of the talks of high-ranking officials was the Syrian conflict.
