Biography
Sergei Valerievich Aksenov was born in the Moldovan town of Balti at the end of November 1972. Almost nothing is known about his family and parents. Some sources claim that Aksenov's father was the chairman of the Russian Community party, but this information has not been confirmed.
At school, Sergei studied for grades, graduated with a silver medal, after school he entered the Simferopol Higher Military-Political School, where he mastered the profession of a military builder. He received his second higher education later, on the basis of the Institute of Economics, received a bachelor's degree in business economics, a master's degree in credit and finance.
During perestroika in the USSR, Aksenov served in a military unit, in the so-called "construction battalion". Having a diploma from a military school allowed him to become not an ordinary, but a political instructor. It was there, according to him, that he got his first experience of communicating with a wide audience, learned to convince listeners, to convey to them his thoughts and feelings, which is very important for a future politician. The main profession - a military builder - was never useful to him in his career development.
With the army and military affairs, Sergei Valerievich decided to end it when the USSR collapsed. Political instructors became educators and then chaplains. Love for Russia as a homeland, with the light hand of opponents of Soviet power, became something shameful, which did not suit Aksenov at all.
Business
After leaving the army, Sergei Aksenov decided to go into business. For aspiring entrepreneurs, the 90s were more than fertile, private business was actively developing. Success awaited Aksenov at the very first steps in a new area for him - he took the post of deputy director of the cooperative "Ellada", which specialized in the supply of food products and conservation. He held the position until 1998.
For the next three years, Sergei Valerievich was a member of the management team of the Asteriks enterprise, then he became the deputy director of the Escada company. All these enterprises were engaged in the purchase, processing and sale of food products abroad.
According to some sources in the media, during his formation in business, Aksenov worked closely with the Russian Community party, supported those who remained Russian even after Ukraine left the USSR. He himself does not confirm or deny this information. Some Ukrainian and Russian journalists tried to find Sergey Valerievich's connection with the criminal environment, but in vain.
Politics
The current head of the Crimean Republic took up politics closely in 2008, when he became an official member of the “Russian Community of Crimea” and the public organization “Civil Active”, which operated on the peninsula. Both movements had many opponents in Ukraine, but this did not stop Aksenov. For several years he managed to win the trust of members of organizations, received the post of head of the newly formed association "Russian Unity".
In 2010, Sergei Valerievich took up deputy activities, became a member of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Ideological views and political priorities allowed him in a short time to gain even greater confidence of voters, he soon became the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the republic.
During the February coup in 2014, during an emergency meeting of the council, it was Aksenov who were elected prime minister of the newly formed government of Crimea. But at that time the republic was still part of the state of Ukraine.
Head of the Republic of Crimea within Russia
A couple of days after being elected head of the government, Aksyonov began active actions aimed at protecting the citizens of Crimea. He signed a decree stating that all power structures of the peninsula are transferred to the subordination of the government, sent an appeal to the President of Russia, in which he asked to ensure peace on the peninsula and to accept the republic into the Russian Federation.
Already on March 16, he initiated a popular referendum, during which it was necessary to study the opinion of citizens about whether they wish to become part of Russia. At the referendum, the Crimeans almost unanimously voted for joining the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian prosecutor's office opened a criminal case against Aksenov, the EU and the United States added it to the sanctions list, but Crimea was already Russian.
In October 2014, Sergei Valerievich officially became the head of the Republic of Crimea, and he remains so to this day. To date, he has carried out a tremendous amount of work to restore the peninsula and its economy, and have carried out large-scale anti-corruption work.

Sergey Valerievich Aksenov is a rather closed person when it comes to his family and personal life. All that is known is that he is married and has two children. The eldest daughter Christina was born in 1994, she is already married, she is engaged in entrepreneurship. The son Oleg was born to the Aksenov couple in 1997, and is currently a student.
