Recently, a new figure appeared on the horizon of Russian political talk shows - Gordey Belov. An expert from Ukraine is popular in his homeland, and in Russia he has shown himself to be a tongue-tied person who does not know the Russian language well and zealously defends the clichés set by the Ukrainian authorities.
Childhood and youth
Gordey was born in 1983 in Nikolaev. A rare Slavic name was given to him by his mother, an actress of the local drama theater. His father's profession was more prosaic; he worked as a civil engineer. The boy's biography was the most ordinary. He studied well at school, and after graduation he entered the shipbuilding university. The certified manager continued his education in the magistracy and received the specialty of economist. He devoted his thesis to investment development. The mayor of the city became interested in the project and used his materials in the work of the city government. After completing his postgraduate studies, the graduate defended his Ph. D. thesis on the problem of intellectual capital. He successfully combined his studies with teaching at the international university "Ukraine".
Economist and politician
In 2009, Belov was appointed vice-rector of the Interregional Institute for Human Development. Two years later, he started working on his doctoral dissertation. A year later, he decided to find practical application for his theoretical knowledge in the field of economics and finance and created his own financial company, Gordey Finance.
Belov began his career as a civil servant in the Emergency Management Department. Several years later, he took up the post of deputy mayor of the city of Ochakov. The order to resign from this position in the fall of 2017 came as a surprise to Gordey's colleagues and to himself. According to the official version, the reason for the dismissal was the official's negligence towards his official duties. There is another opinion that the reason for the resignation was the appearance of the vice-mayor of Ochakov on Russian television. In the television studio of the 60 Seconds program, to the host's question “does he consider Bandera a national hero”, the Ukrainian replied that for him “the hero is the one who will establish peace and prosperity in Ukraine”.
Personal life
Gordey has many hobbies: sailing, music, theater. Among his diplomas there is a document on obtaining an education in the specialty "director of a drama theater". And at one of the theater festivals, Belov met his future wife, actress Marina Bondarchuk. Their romance lasted three years, in 2010 the couple created an official family.
Music occupies a special place in Belov's life, love for it haunts him from an early age. As a 14-year-old teenager, he organized a music team "Fata Morgana", which performed with his songs. Later, the group "Satyr" appeared, where the author of music and lyrics acted as a vocalist, guitarist and producer. The musicians' collaboration was productive, but short-lived. The team leader sorely lacked time for creativity, he was actively engaged in science and taught at the university.
Today, Belov's works are heard on the air of Russian-language radio stations. He chose the chanson style for his works and is successfully moving in this direction. His opuses "Student Lenochka" and "Zero within the Network" have adorned chanson collections, and the song "Girl Vkontaktochka" is famous for the fact that in 2014 the 200 best songs of "Radio Chanson" were included.
From time to time, Belov comes to the Russian capital. His father has been living and doing business here for more than ten years.
