Belov Viktor Ivanovich, first from Voronezh, then from Belgorod, changed several professions. Having received a lifelong trauma, he did not succumb to difficulties, did not harden with life, but, working with people, retained the simplicity, kindness, cheerfulness of his character. The memory of him as a person and as a writer has survived.
From biography
Belov Viktor Ivanovich was born in 1938 in the city of Voronezh into a family of young agronomists. In 1942, my father died. Every summer the teenager worked on a collective farm. Victor received his secondary education in Borisoglebsk. Some time later, after life searches, he entered the aviation school. During one of the flights, an accident happened, and Victor became disabled. After graduating from the Faculty of History and Philology of the Borisoglebsk Pedagogical Institute, he worked as a teacher, and in 1965 he became a correspondent. In 1977 he came to the Belgorod region. At first he lived in Gubkin, then in Belgorod.
First creative steps
In 1956, Borisoglebskaya Pravda published his first poem "Goodbye!" He did not even suspect that his works were known to the writer G. N. Troepolsky, to whom Victor's mother showed them in secret from her son.
Poetic word about Russia
Whatever Viktor Belov writes about: whether about nature, the country, people, war and peace - these are all poems about Russia, in which there are many alarming, sad lines. However, there is no gloom and despair in them.
In his poems, there is a cordiality, a respectful tone, the ability and desire to admire people, including fellow villagers. V. Belov's poetry carries a moral and emotional charge. And therefore it is relevant.
In the first lines, the poet draws the reader's attention to the culinary abilities of a woman. Further, a touching story is described about her four sons who died in the war, and there was no one in the family to treat pancakes. She lived with this pain and did not regret treats for anyone
Memory of war
The theme of war occupies a significant place in the work of V. Belov. The poet knew about her firsthand. She left him without a father, the post-war time was also difficult. This honest, truthful poem filled with bitterness was written in 1960.
Love is a special look
An unexpected meeting … A joint trip … Modest glances … A pleasant impression came over the young man and so captivated him that he did not notice how he passed his native places. They never met. The girl was met by relatives, and the young man helped her. Tired and sad, he returned home and thought about where else he would meet such a girl.
The originality of the poem lies in the fact that the most cherished feeling of a person is associated with the sound of a bell. Probably because the bell is the ringing of the soul. An interesting association appears before the reader: love is in tune with the ringing of bells, as if bells are ringing in the soul. And the bells are the church. And the church is a wedding. It turns out that this is where the connections go.
The connection between name and life
What are our names associated with? With everything that is in the surrounding world. How did we come up with names? In the 60-70s of the twentieth century - not according to the horoscope, but in the way that parents would like to see their children - hardworking, loving the field, meadows, forest, cornflowers, glorious workers.
Rats, tanks and soldiers
The prototype of the hero of the story "Rats with Red Eyes" is Boris Nikolayevich Stepygin, who attended the funeral in 1942. Wrong. Then he became a Hero of the Soviet Union. Stepygin did not like when he was asked how he became a sniper. His friend, the writer Viktor Belov, he still told the story of the rats. And he wrote the story.
When the Germans went in a whole tank column, the soldiers had to retreat. To the station, they zigzagged through the open area like hares. But the soldiers did not have time to use the ammunition at the station. The lieutenant ordered to blow up the warehouse, and the main character was the first to rush into the casemates. Then there was a crash, he was deafened, and he was in the warehouse alone. He was overwhelmed. And he did not know who was outside: his own people or the Germans.
He dug for a long time, looking for a way out. Convincing himself that there was a way out, he talked to himself. I told myself how he noticed a dandelion before descending.
When the rats, like the Germans, in hordes headed by the leader, went at him, he, like a sniper, aimed at the leader and hit him. Then the rats ran away, and then they went on the attack again with a new leader.
In conversation with himself, the soldier called himself a traitor, because he was ordered to detonate ammunition, but he did not. And now I did not know who was outside: our own people or the Germans. And so he guessed: after all, the rats came from somewhere. And there must be a hole or a hole. He found a place to put a grenade. The explosion ripped open the gap between the wall and the rubble, and through it he climbed out and saw the same dandelion.
So Viktor Belov learned how his friend Stepygin became a sniper. The former soldier only asked the writer not to ask any more questions.
Radio host
V. Belov for about 30 years conducted the radio program "Belogorie". He has prepared many bright radio features. The subjects of the programs were wide: agriculture, industry, the work of Belgorod poets. Despite the variety of characters of the guests, their different ages, the programs were successful. Viktor Ivanovich had a pleasant voice and was always sincerely attentive to his interlocutor.
Having finished his earthly journey in 2017, Viktor Belov was a talented original poet and prose writer. His contribution to Russian literature is significant. We can say about him: the writer has taken place and will remain famous.
