Instructions
Step 1
In any Orthodox church, you can order a prayer for health. The very concept of "health" for the church service includes not only physical health, but also spiritual, including material well-being.
Step 2
You can order the service in the church box. In some churches, you can write on a piece of paper the names of those people about whom the prayer will be held, in others - the names will need to be dictated to the minister. On the prepared notes in the church, at the top of the sheet, you can see the image of the cross and the inscription "On health."
Step 3
The prayer service can be ordered only for people baptized in the church. The enumerated names should be written in the nominative case, in a clear, legible handwriting. Next to the names, you can make marks if a child under 7 is an infant, from 7 to 14 years old - a youth, if a person is a conscript soldier or a military man by profession - a warrior, a mark is made next to a sick person - sick, in addition to this, you can indicate the holy order.
Step 4
When composing a note, remember that according to Church canons, the name of the Patriarch should go first, then the name of the Archpastor, then the name of your spiritual father, and only then should there be a list of the names of your parents, your own name, the names of family members, relatives and friends, then you can indicate the names of the benefactors. The Church advises to order the prayer "For health" and for enemies, envious people and even enemies.
Step 5
In addition to the notes "On Health", prayers are also served on commemorations. These are special books kept clean next to home icons. The names of all living and deceased relatives are inscribed in them, passed down from generation to generation. During the prayer service, the commemoration, like the notes, is brought into the altar, where it is read before the throne during the Divine Liturgy. You can buy a commemorative book in a church or in a church book store.
Step 6
In addition to a simple prayer service, you can order a water blessing. Then, during the service, a small consecration of water will be performed, which will later be distributed to believers.
Step 7
The number of prayers "For health" is not limited by the church.
