He is often the face of this or that festival, and there Emelianenko, as a rule, makes one kind of big signature dish. Biography

Vasily Emelianenko was born in 1979 in the city of Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory. At first, there was no sign that he would become a professional cook. After leaving school, the future chef entered the technical school and became an electrical technician. Then he accidentally ended up in Moscow, received an education in the field of tourism and after university worked for several years in the advertising industry on television.

This stage helped him to become sociable, which turned out to be also important for working in a restaurant. When, for example, a visitor is not happy with a dish, the chef must go out to him and give a decent answer to the complaint: not to offend the client and not fall face down in the dirt himself, that is, agree in a peaceful manner. It was this kind of communication, albeit in a different way, that he learned on TNT.

Then in his life there was a very interesting period of work as a master of tea ceremonies. Or a master of Chinese tea culture - you could say that. Although it is difficult to call this occupation a job - rather, it is a hobby. In the evenings, Vasily treated visitors to a tea restaurant, and during the day there was a lot of free time. It was then that he got carried away with cooking in earnest. I often went to the market, studied all the spices, asked the sellers what they like to cook. And then he experimented in his kitchen.

And then he realized that something like a system had formed in his head, which included schemes for preparing various dishes, spices for them and other things. And now, having seen any dish, he can tell exactly what products it is prepared from.

Chef career

Oddly enough, the chef did not receive a professional education, and at first he was embarrassed. And then, when professionals began to meet, who were not very savvy and knew little about food, Vasily realized that this was not happiness. Here you only need love for what you are doing, understanding and flair. And he has all this.

Then he often goes on internships in large restaurants that have Michelin stars. And with the beginning of the Internet era, learning has become even easier: you can watch the program of, for example, the famous Jamie Oliver and find out how he cooks.

When Emelianenko was asked in an interview if he dreamed of working in a Michelin-starred restaurant, he replied that he had once dreamed about it. However, then I realized that it was not for him. It was just after one internship that I realized that I wanted something different. For example, he wants to educate people about what kind of food can be prepared from simple products, but so that it is tasty. Therefore, now on his YouTube channel, he turns to cooking simple dishes, although there you can also find various exquisite gastronomic "compositions" from the chef Emelianenko.

And now his plans include creating a large online school in which he wants to teach people to cook from a variety of products that can only be found in stores and on the market. And thereby broaden the horizons of your subscribers in terms of using products, so that they have variety on their table. And he is sure that people should not only eat pasta, potatoes and cheese - they should try something that they have never tasted before, because it is so interesting.

Emelianenko was lucky in that he managed to open his own YouTube channel before a huge number of bloggers appeared on this site, who flooded the Internet with their videos, often of low quality. Now he has a lot of subscribers who follow the release of new videos, cook with him live and comment - write about their experience in cooking a particular dish.

In these videos, Vasily shares many of the secrets of his kitchen. However, he considers intuitive cooking to be his main secret. And he also advises everyone to turn on intuition, even if you are cooking an unfamiliar dish. After all, even in a restaurant, the chef, if he has a technical card for the dish, prepares almost without measuring the products in grams. Sometimes without measuring at all, as Emelianenko himself says. Because cooking is about creativity, inspiration and experimentation, which is always interesting.

When asked how the chef comes up with new dishes, Vasily replied that about ten percent was invented by himself, and ninety percent was borrowed from someone. And with experience, over time, from somewhere out of the depths of memory, something seen or heard earlier comes out, and then all this is somehow structured and poured into a new recipe. And if you give a chef six hundred ingredients, he can make thousands of different dishes from them, combining products in different ways.

Another area of ​​Emelianenko's activity is television. He has produced programs such as Master Chef and Master Chef. Children”,“Culinary Duel”,“Battle of the Chefs”,“Time to Dine”with Dasha Koroleva on Channel One and other gastronomic shows.
