The only exceptions are goods of inadequate quality. In this case, you can bring the defect to the store without a receipt, packaging and with traces of use. This rule also applies to low-quality food.

Step 2

Goods with significant defects identified during use can be returned to the store after 15 days from the date of purchase, and after the expiration of the warranty period, but no later than two years from the date of purchase. In this case, you will have to work hard and draw up a claim to the manufacturer or his direct representative in your region with a detailed listing of the shortcomings of the returned product.

If you are asked to conduct an examination, try to attend it or send your representative with a power of attorney. The results of the examination can be appealed in court.

The goods purchased at the sale are also subject to return, provided that the buyer was not aware of the presence of a defect in the purchased product prior to the purchase. This should be noted by the seller on the sales receipt or warranty card. You cannot return only those things that you were immediately warned about the presence of shortcomings.

Under no circumstances, with the exception of marriage, can the following goods be returned: personal hygiene items, medicines, cosmetics and perfume, underwear and bedding, dishes and cutlery, technically sophisticated household appliances, household chemicals; fabrics, cables, construction and other materials sold by the meter, furniture, weapons and ammunition, literature, animals and plants, jewelry made of precious metals.

However, this rule does not apply to online stores and goods purchased virtually. The only exceptions are personal hygiene products. For example, one product is offered, but you are supplied with a completely different one. In this case, a return can be made within seven days, excluding the day of purchase, even without giving reasons.

In general, as practice shows, the law is most often on the side of conscientious buyers. Usually, when you return, you need to show your passport and write a return statement. Often sellers offer to replace a product that does not suit you with a similar one, but no one has the right to force you to do this.

Defend your rights, do not be afraid in case of refusal to quote lines from the "Law on Consumer Rights Protection" or even threaten with legal proceedings. In most cases, the seller prefers to resolve controversial issues amicably.
