The feminist movement is gaining strength in all civilized countries. In the Russian Federation, the struggle for equality between women and men has entered a latent phase. Natalia Pushkareva defends the freedom and rights of women to choose their place in society, using scientific methods of analysis.
Starting conditions
Natalya Lvovna Pushkareva, a staunch defender of women's rights "to self-determination", was born on September 23, 1959, in a family of researchers. Father and mother were engaged in history. Moreover, both had a doctorate in history. Natasha grew up and developed in an intellectual environment. She was eating right. From an early age, the girl watched how married couples live, what suffering women have to endure because of the despotism of representatives of a strong part of humanity.
During school years, the child behaved quite adequately. Natasha did not quarrel with the boys and did not enter into fights. I did not try to find a common language with them. She just avoided and tried to keep contacts to a minimum. The relationship with the girls was going well. Pushkareva participated in the social life of the class. When the time came to choose a profession, the girl decided to follow in the footsteps of her parents and entered the history department of the famous Moscow State University.
Women's History Associations
After receiving higher education, Natalia Pushkareva entered the postgraduate study at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology. It is important to note that until the mid-1980s, gender studies in the Soviet Union were not systematically engaged. At the top echelons, the authorities believed that men and women have long had equal civil rights, and therefore there is simply no subject for research. However, in her Ph. D. thesis, Pushkareva adhered to a different point of view. She adhered and, as best she could, substantiated her positions.
Natalya Lvovna considers her main achievement to be the creation of a school of historical feminology. Some skeptics point out that the first feminists known to science were the mythical Amazons. Attacks of this nature are considered common in scientific debate. Such remarks do not affect a successful career. As part of the creation of a new direction in science, Pushkareva wrote more than four hundred scientific articles. Moreover, she initiated the creation of the Association of Researchers of Women's History.
Essays on personal life
As part of her scientific activities, Pushkareva is actively working to promote her concepts and conclusions. The modern feminist is not limited to literary creativity - she has written more than one and a half hundred popular science articles and books. Natalya Lvovna regularly travels to Russian and foreign universities, where she gives thematic lectures. She has a lot of admirers and followers.
All scientific and teaching achievements are listed in the biography of Natalia Pushkareva. At the same time, almost nothing is said about personal life. It is known that the doctor of sciences has a son who bears the mother's surname. According to feminist rules, a man is needed only for the conception of offspring. As a husband, he is not required. And a woman in the role of a wife is indifferent to society. Natalya Lvovna does not like to talk about love.
