An old army comrade introduced him to an original man, a personality with an out-of-the-box thinking, who deals with solving the most intricate crimes - and his name, of course, is Sherlock Holmes. British actor Benedict Cumberbatch on the screen embodied the new Holmes, who is not in the least like the hero created on the TV screen. Vasily Livanov, and Watson, played by Martin Freeman, is not Vitaly Solomin's hero at all, but this does not make the series worse. What attracts the viewer in the new series is the perfect "fit" of the characters into the realities of modern life, and numerous technical innovations do not make the series wrong. It's just that this Sherlock is completely different, he lives in the realities of today, where there are bacteriological weapons and computers, but this does not make the series uninteresting. Viewers will again be able to see Mrs. Hudson and Inspector Lestrade, Mycroft Holmes and typical British police officers, and Barrymore (only a military medic at the base, not the butler), and the Stapleton. Yes, and Holmes's main enemy, the great and terrible Professor Moriarty, will also be, but most viewers will be happy to see that these people are quite appropriate in today's turbulent times.
