Biography
In July 1976, the future football player Patrick Kluivert was born on the first day in the capital of Holland Amsterdam. From early childhood, the boy became interested in football, he not only played, but also enjoyed watching games on TV. He dreamed one day to be at the heart of the famous Dutch club "Ajax", popular at that time all over the world. And one day his father brought him to the academy of the club. According to Patrick himself, he was very much afraid of embarrassment, and looking at other boys, he just wanted to drop everything and run away. But Patrick nevertheless coped with the jitters, successfully demonstrated his skills and was enrolled in the Ajax academy.
Career
Patrick Klivert has worked for the youth team for ten successful years. His debut as a professional player for the main team took place in 1994. In August of the same year, Patrick made his debut in the Super Cup match against Feyenoord, moreover, he scored a goal. Thanks to the successful start of the season, Klivert got the opportunity to show himself during the season. Several successful games in the national championship - and the talented footballer firmly entrenched himself at the heart of the team. In total, Patrick spent three seasons at the Dutch club, in which he appeared 97 times on the field and scored 50 goals. As part of "Ajax" the famous footballer twice became the champion of the country, twice won the Dutch Cup, in 1995 won the Champions League Cup and the European Super Cup.
After the Dutch club, there was a season in Milan, Italy, where Klivert played 33 matches and scored nine goals. In 1998, the footballer moved to the Spanish “Barcelona”, six creative years in the team brought the country's championship title in 1999 to Kluivert's piggy bank. In total, for the Catalan club, Patrick made 255 appearances on the field and hit the opponents' goal 120 times.
In 2004, the Dutch striker moved to foggy Albion for Premier League club Newcastle United, where he played only one season. The next year he returned to Spain, to Valencia. In both clubs, Kluivert performed rather mediocre and did not win any trophies. Patrick finished his football career at the French club "Lille" from the city of the same name, where he played only fourteen matches during the season.
National team
Patrick Klivert made his debut for the national team in 1994 and until 2004 he defended the colors of the Netherlands. 79 matches in which he scored 40 goals brought only bronze medals of the European Championship in 2000 and 2004 to the player's piggy bank.
Personal life
Patrick Klivert has been married twice. From his first marriage with Angela van Hulten, he had three sons: Justin, Quincy and Ryuben. They all followed in the footsteps of their famous father and play football. Patrick is now married to Rossana Lima, with whom he is raising a son, whose name is Shane.
