Step 1
The day of the event should not coincide with the day of holidays or weekends, when most of the employees and workers rest after working days. But, at the same time, it is impossible to hold this event on Monday / Tuesday, when the employee is just wedging into the workflow. Thus, the days that could be devoted to OSH should be Thursday or Wednesday.
Step 2
The organization of the OSH day can take different forms. It can also be a form of a lecture / seminar, where an occupational safety specialist arranges a "educational program" on safety issues in the workplace, and where the employees themselves could share their experience and knowledge that could be useful to the rest of the workforce.
On such days, it is quite possible to invite labor protection specialists from other organizations, whose profile is related to this enterprise. This is how the exchange of experience takes place.
Step 3
During the Occupational Safety Day, a special place could be devoted to practical exercises on the use of personal protective equipment against the effects of harmful factors that take place during the production process, or that may occur in the event of an emergency. These are gas masks, respirators, fire extinguishers, protective suits and other items, whose specificity directly depends on the profile of the enterprise.
