Anna Filipchuk is the representative of Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018. She was chosen out of a hundred applicants by audience vote. The girl performed the song "Invincible" at the casting.
The tradition of “rooting” for our own people at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest dates back to 2005. Then Russia sent the first participant. Since that time, the question of who will represent the country at the annual prestigious competition has constantly intrigued his fans.

Anya was born in 2004 on November 9 in Barnaul. It is known that the girl's mother is a lawyer by training. Alina Filipchuk is a candidate of sciences.
Mom was told about her daughter's vocal talent even in the hospital: the girl was crying too unusually. Soon there was evidence that the baby had a good sense of rhythm and hearing.
At two years and ten months, Anya ended up in the famous Barnaul show-theater of songs named after Elena Shcherbakova "Caprice". For three decades, the collective has raised more than one generation of talented artists.
After watching the performance of Alla Pugacheva, the four-year-old girl told her surprised mother that she wanted to go to the TV.
The wish came true ten years later. The young artist represented the country at one of the most prestigious competitions.
The head of the theater, Anna Pavlovna Kaplenko, became the first teacher of Anna Filipchuk. For ten years, she studied with the young vocalist, contributing to hone her skills.
Sports career
The girl liked the lessons. However, the energetic child lacked sports. Alina and Victor chose the gymnastics section for the girl.
For a long time, Anya studied with the coach of the Children and Youth Sports School "Pearl of Altai" Elena Viktorovna Naumova. Very quickly, the athlete began to take part in various competitions.
In 2015, Anna won the Altai Krai Cup in rhythmic gymnastics. In 2017, thirteen-year-old Filipchuk was awarded the title of candidate for master of sports.
But the sports career had to be abandoned: it turned out to be too difficult to combine vocal classes and gymnastics. The girl was worried, but understood that she could not live without music.
From eleven, Anya constantly participated in creative competitions. At thirteen she was chosen as a young "Miss Barnaul".
The future celebrity has taken top places in vocal competitions more than once. Once the members of the jury themselves recommended the mother to give her daughter a chance to reach a new level.
They advised Alina to help the girl prepare for the fight for victory in major musical projects.
New peaks
Mom and daughter applied to participate in the project "New Wave Children's 2017" by Igor Krutoy. However, Anya only managed to reach the semifinals there.
The producer noted the performance. The talented girl received an invitation to become a student at the Cool Academy of Popular Music. Valeria Araskina became her vocal teacher.
In the Sochi "Battle of Talents" in May 2017, Anna confidently reached the final. Filipchuk at the beginning of 2018 took part in the casting of the fifth season of the children's "Voice".

In April 2018, the singer and her mother sent an application to participate in the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Anya became one of hundreds of people who want to represent the country.
Serious successes
I had to endure agonizing anticipation, excitement, and incredible tension. But everything ended with good news: Anna made it to the casting final and became one of a dozen applicants for a trip to Minsk.
Then endless flights on the route Moscow-Barnaul began, preparations for the final. Anya had to take vocal lessons, engage in choreography, stage speech, and acting.
However, the girl is already accustomed to the enormous stress in sports. Therefore, I have withstood the work for the result.
The final of the national selection was held at the International Children's Center "Artek" on June 3. The strongest vocalists from different regions of Russia presented the competition songs to the professional jury.

In July, a video was released for a new song by an aspiring vocalist "Matryoshka". In the work, folk motives are stylized, and in the video there is a lot of national flavor.
In addition to intensive preparation for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Anya continued her studies, classes in singing, attended the Igor Krutoy Vocal Academy. At the same time, Filipchuk managed to host the Hot Ten program on television.
At the end of November 2018, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest ended. Anna took the tenth place in the competition, beating the representative of Belarus. Pole Roxana Vegel became the winner.
But the young singer is not going to despair. It has never happened that the same country took first place for several years in a row. And the girl's main victories are still ahead.
The habit of wisely distributing time came in handy for the young celebrity. The vocalist attends hip-hop classes in her free time, plays tennis.
