The craving for acting and a special creative atmosphere, accompanied by audience sympathy, so captivated the young man that his further career choice was very clearly defined from the very beginning of his life.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Arkhangelsky enters the course of Violetta Vladimirovna Tolopagi at the Voronezh State Institute of Arts. He graduated from this university in 1982 and was assigned to the troupe of the Kursk Regional Drama Theater named after A. S. Pushkin, where he appeared on stage for thirty years.
Here he played more than seventy roles, among which the greatest success was brought to him by the character of Michael in the play "The Godfather" and the stage character of Angelo in the production of "Goat Island". From 2012 to the present day, Yuri Viktorovich has entered the stage of the Yaroslavl Chamber Theater under the direction of Vladimir Vorontsov. Here, as a leading actor of the theater, he pleases the audience with his talented performance in the productions: "The Wild Boar" (the role of Alexei), "Two on the Swing" (the role of Jerry), "The Plague on Both Your Houses" (the role of Antonio), "Krechinsky's Wedding" (the role of Krechinsky).
In cinema, Yuri Arkhangelsky made his debut as a minor character in the crime drama “Nevsky. Test of strength". Today, his filmography is quite well filled with completely diverse film works in many feature films.
