Vera Viktorovna Kamsha is a journalist and writer, author of novels and books within the genre of historical fantasy. She was born on November 5, 1962 (Scorpio by horoscope). Place of birth: Lviv (Ukrainian SSR), USSR.
Vera's family had lived in Lvov for many years before her birth. Her mother's childhood was spent in the same city. Vera Kamsha is of Polish noble origin.
After graduating from school, young Vera decided to continue her education without leaving Lviv. Despite the fact that in the future she will devote herself to creativity and will closely pursue a career as a writer, Kamsha entered the Lviv Polytechnic Institute. In numerous interviews and in her autobiography, she is of the opinion that she made the right choice then, deciding to study in a technical direction. As a result, Vera Kamsha received the profession of a petroleum engineer.
Not wanting to build a career in her hometown, Vera Viktorovna went to Leningrad after receiving a red diploma at the Polytechnic Institute. In a new place, listening to the advice of friends, she decided to try to do journalism. By 1994, this work became her main and favorite one. Some time later - after 1995 - a very significant event took place in Vera's life: she met Nick Perumov. Their friendship initially began on mutual love for the work of the famous Nikolai Gumilyov. It was Perumov who eventually pushed the young journalist to literary activity.
The first book, The Dark Star, was published in 2001. In the same year Vera Kamsha published the next fantasy novel - "Incomparable Right". This is how the basis of the Chronicle of Artia dilogy was born. In 2003, Kamsha wrote three more books that complemented this series.
Perhaps the most popular for the writer brought a series of books called "Reflections of Eterna". The first novel, Red on Red, was published in 2004. The series currently consists of five novels, the last of which is in the process of being written and published. In addition to Reflections of Eterna, a collection is being prepared, which will include a number of stories to complement the fantasy cycle.
In addition to literary activity, Vera Viktorovna manages to engage in journalism, tries herself in poetry.

In 2005, Vera Kamsha received the award for the best Russian fantasy novel from the World of Fantastic magazine.
In 2008 she received the Swords Prize.
In 2011, Kamsha received a special prize from RosCon.
