Denis Igorevich Rozhkov was born on July 3, 1979. In 1993 he received a certificate at school No. 1056. As a child, he wanted to become a policeman, attended a circle at the local department. Denis's grandfather was a district police officer, so a book was taken from him, in which he signed on how to conduct interrogations correctly, to catch criminals.
At one of the contests, the reciters were noticed by the head of the theater studio "Mirror" NP Ganysh. This was one of the reasons why the young man began to get involved in acting. In the studio there was an acquaintance with Pavel Maikov. He played with him on the small stage, and a few years later he entered the Moscow Art Theater School. At the final concert, he was noted by Oleg Tabakov.
Denis from an early age wanted to become an actor, so one of his attempts was to enter GITIS. However, the first time I did not succeed in becoming a student. In 1998, the young man finishes his studies, begins to take an active part in theatrical projects. Some time later he worked at the Russian Realistic Theater.
Personal life
Today Denis Rozhkov is a happy husband and father. He met his wife Irina in the theater, where he worked on assignment after the institute. Fell in love with her at first sight. The girl worked as a makeup artist. Young people very quickly began to live together. For some time they rented an apartment or lived with their parents. With their own savings, they managed to buy an apartment only 12 years after the start of family life. The first years Irina was the only breadwinner in the family. In 1999, a son, Ivan, appeared in the family.
The artist often says that he was very lucky with his wife. She herself rotates in a near-actor environment, she herself is familiar with all the subtleties of work on stage. In 1998, the actor did not receive an invitation from Tabakov to join the "Tabakerki" troupe, thanks to which he got into the drama theater on Perovskaya. There was a lot of work, but the salary was so low that Rozhkov had to earn extra money:
- set maker;
- leading on cooperatives;
- animator at children's parties.
The man took on almost any job, for some time he was even a handyman in a bakery, a waiter and an insurance agent. After working for two seasons, the actor quit the theater. The goal, to find work elsewhere, seemed almost unattainable - the actor was not accepted anywhere. Occasionally he performed in various creative projects, attempts to break into the world of cinema did not bring results.
After 10 years, Denis Rozhkov was invited to play the role of a tattoo artist in the crime-detective series "The Silent Witness". By this time, the young actor had already decided to quit his career, so he was trained as a video editor.
And in 2008 he received an offer to play in "Glukhara". A serious team has gathered in the project. At first, the relationship with Maria Boltneva, who played his girlfriend, was very difficult. Despite this, a sense of contentment came. Relations with Maxim Averin did not immediately improve, although now young people are friends.
For three years Denis worked without vacation for 22 shooting days a month. During the filming, I had to closely interact with the traffic police officers. The shooting took place at the present post, so the professionals gave advice and made comments. The actor notes that Denis Antoshin is his complete opposite. The only thing they have in common is a sense of humor.
