Biography

Margarita Mikhailovna Mitrofanova was born on January 30, 1970 in Moscow, in the family of a lawyer (dad) and a teacher (mom). Parents who received a high-quality education within the walls of Moscow State University believed that their daughter should follow in their footsteps. At the insistence of her father, Rita entered the Faculty of Law after school, successfully graduated from it, having received a law degree in civil law. However, the future radio star did not see herself in this profession and dreamed of connecting her life with music.

Career

In the early 90s, luck smiled at Rita and she was invited to conduct first daytime broadcasts, and then evening on radio "Maximum". The radio station, which was broadcasting at that time in two capitals: Moscow and St. Petersburg, quickly gained popularity and acquired its own audience. Margarita Mitrofanova spent 17 years working for Maximum (from 1993 to 2009), and the phrase “Mitrofanova, do you want a compote?” was familiar to almost everyone. Decades later, as expected, the team changed, and along with this, the popular radio host decided to try herself in another, more conservative project. From that moment on, Rita Mitrofanova could be heard on Mayak radio.

The playlist of the evening radio show "Old School with Margarita Mikhailovna" consisted of foreign hits recorded until the end of the 1990s. Mitrofanova spent 4 years working in this format. Over the next two years, starting in the fall of 2011, the radio presenter worked in a duet with Olga Shelest on the Santa Barbara program.

In the 2000s, Mitrofanova could be seen in various television shows: Fort Boyard, Guess the Tune, Weak Link, One Hundred to One. The most striking project turned out to be "Girls", which won an army of many thousands of fans. The show was broadcast on the channel "Russia 1" for three years, Margarita Mitrofanova was one of the co-hosts.

In 2017, she hosted a program on the NTV channel called "New House". At the moment, Mitrofanova is known for the show "Physics and Lyrics" on the radio station "Mayak", which is co-authored with the famous musician and presenter Alexander Pushny.

Family and personal life

Margarita Mitrofanova is not officially married, but the heart of the popular radio and TV presenter is not free. Rita's common-law husband is a cameraman and director Pyotr Bratersky. The couple have been together for more than 10 years and are in no hurry to go to the registry office to legalize the relationship. According to Mitrofanova, the stamp in the passport will not change the relationship to each other, nor will it affect the family life. Margarita and Peter are raising their daughter Polina. The child is the only one, the girl was born in May 2007. Margarita Mitrofanova was 37 years old at that time.
