Starting conditions
At the start of his conscious life, it is very difficult for a person to imagine how the circumstances will develop in the second half of the earthly road. There is still no insurance against happy or accidental accidents. Vladimir Yuryevich Zharikov managed to organize an illegal school of stuntmen during the Soviet era. He came to this decision when he analyzed in detail adventure films of domestic and foreign production. At that time, there were no educational institutions for training professionals to perform spectacular and dangerous stunts in the Soviet Union.
The future stuntman and candidate of philosophical sciences was born on November 6, 1938 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived at that time in Smolensk. My father worked in the party organs. Mother was engaged in housekeeping. In the early 50s, the Zharikov family moved to the famous city of Krivoy Rog. Vladimir studied well at school. His favorite lessons were literature and physical education. During that period, he not only read a lot, but also tried to write poetry. After the tenth grade, Zharikov was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces.
Professional activity
Thanks to good physical training and personal data, Zharikov served in a special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU). After intensive training, Vladimir spent almost a year in Vietnam, where there was a war with the Americans. Once he was part of a group that captured an enemy officer. Returning to civilian life, the special forces soldier decided to get a specialized education at the philological department of Odessa University. In his student years he kept in physical shape - he continued to engage in martial arts, swam long distances, jumped from a height.
At one point, Zharikov was asked to perform several dangerous stunts on the set. He coped with the task brilliantly. In 1974, the film "Port" was released, where the name of the understudy was indicated in the credits. Over the next ten years, Vladimir worked part-time at the Odessa Film Studio. At the same time, without leaving the main job at the university. In 1986 Zharikov defended his dissertation and received the title of candidate of philosophical sciences. From that moment he began his professional career as a stuntman.
Recognition and privacy
Vladimir Zharikov made his contribution to the development of Russian cinema. He staged and performed stunts in the films "State Border", "The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed", "Pirates of the 20th Century".
Zharikov's personal life turned out well. As part of his dangerous work, he did not receive serious injury or mutilation. He was married. The husband and wife raised and raised two children - a son and a daughter. The wife died of thrombophlebitis several years ago. At the moment, Zharikov leads the life of a Russian pensioner, interrupting from bread to kvass.
