It is in a Europeanized society that people meet, marry and divorce, preaching individual freedom and independence. In countries with a pronounced patriarchal order, the institution of marriage is treated quite differently, seeing in marriage as bonds for the rest of their lives.

The Islamic faith takes marriage creation very seriously. And the divorce clause is being examined even more closely. The latter action does not evoke approval in the Muslim religion, as, indeed, in other teachings. Popular rumor has a proverb in store for this case. She encourages you to think 10 times if you are going to enter into a marriage union, but in the event of a divorce, you will have to think 10 times more. This is a fair point.

Whatever religion the spouses are brought up in, divorce leads to chaos and traumatizes the souls of people. Therefore, divorce under Sharia law is rare.

But life is far from ideal and often cracked harmony cannot be restored. Islam went to meet human weakness and allowed divorce, however, without special blessing. To avoid chaos in this matter, the Shariah stipulates strict adherence to conditions.

Divorce conditions

Divorce can only take place between people who are legally married, formalized in accordance with all the rules of Islam. The initiator of the action is most often a man. However, women are not powerless in this moment and can also declare a break in relations.

The application is taken into account in the case of an adequate condition of the applicant. A mentally ill or drunk person cannot count on satisfying a petition. People can be separated in the following cases:

- death of one of them, - apostasy, - acquiring ownership of one over the other, - treason.

Divorce procedure

Sharia divorce is a simple procedure. It is enough for a man to say the word "Talak" in front of witnesses. After that, the couple has three months to reconcile. If family recovery is achieved, no action is taken anymore. Spouses are considered legal husband and wife. If you say "Talak" three times, then the marriage is terminated immediately. Both parties are now free and can enter into a new relationship. If the former spouses wish to remarry each other, it is necessary to visit a second marriage, divorce and reconnect.

When the husband, in front of witnesses, announces the divorce 9 times, then the renewal of the relationship is impossible under any circumstances.

The woman acquires a forbidden status for her ex-husband. However, the simplicity of this procedure does not ease responsibility. Divorce is strongly discouraged among friends and relatives, which leads the spouses to a responsible attitude towards each other.
