Instructions

Step 1

Visit the exhibition "The Genius of Da Vinci", which takes place in Moscow from March 1 to July 1, 2012. The venue for the exhibition was the Vetoshny art center (Vetoshny lane, 13). The center works seven days a week from 10 am to 9 pm (ticket office until 8 pm). The ticket price for adults is 400 rubles, for children and students - 200 rubles, preschoolers are free. By prior arrangement, you can book an excursion for an organized group. In the hall of the exhibition you can buy souvenirs, albums with da Vinci's works. There is a small cafe where films about the life of the great master are shown on the big screen.

Step 2

At the exhibition, you will get acquainted with the works of Leonardo da Vinci, which were recreated according to his drawings and drawings. All inventions are made in full size and are as close to the original as possible. For example, in the lobby you will be greeted by a prototype of a modern tank, albeit a very small one. But the future helicopter impresses with its size and ideas. There you can also see the first bicycle, parachute, drawbridge, etc.

Step 3

Connoisseurs of "Mona Lisa" will be able to take a closer look at a copy of the painting. An entire hall of the exhibition is given over to the mysterious Mona Lisa. There you can see an infrared image of the painting, which accurately reproduces the real colors of the paints; its reverse side; enlarged fragments of the canvas. In addition to "Mona Lisa", the hall displays copies of the paintings "The Last Supper", "Madonna of the Rocks", sketches of diagrams and drawings.

Step 4

If the Mona Lisa impresses you so much that you want to see it in the original, go to Paris. The original painting hangs in the Louvre Museum. But keep in mind that in the high tourist season there are so many people who want to see the painting that you will have to queue for many hours, first at the Louvre itself, and then at the painting. It is very difficult to discern the canvas itself carefully - the picture is small in size (77 by 53 cm), it hangs behind the glass and the guards do not allow it close to it. And you will have only a few seconds time for inspection.
