The candlelight in the temple represents the image of the Divine light. The candle carries within itself the reflection of Jesus Christ as the Light that illuminates the path of any truly believing person. In itself, the question of how, after all, it is correct to light a candle for health in order to observe church canons, in fact, is not quite correctly formulated. There are no special places for setting up such a candle in the temple.

Before lighting a candle in health, ask yourself the question: "What do I wish for the person for whom I want to pray?" The answer to this question will help you choose the right icon to which you should put a candle for health.

In an Orthodox church, there is a tradition according to which candles about health are placed in any candlesticks, with the exception of those that are located on the eve table and serve for candles that parishioners put for repose. It should be borne in mind that not every church has an eve table, so candles, both in health and in repose, can be placed in any candlestick. The main thing here is what kind of prayer we are going to do.

The text of the prayer can be like this:
"Save, Lord, and have mercy on my spiritual father (name), my parents (names), relatives and benefactors and all Orthodox Christians."

In this appeal to the Lord, we do not mention ourselves, remembering that everyone who prays for the health of another person will also be rewarded. Separately, it should be said about the need to pray for your enemies and ill-wishers, which was mentioned by Jesus Christ.

There are different prayers for health, they can be found in the Orthodox Prayer Book. Keep in mind that church books purchased from a dubious publisher may be subject to distortion, this also applies to the texts of the prayers themselves.
