We must overcome obstacles - that's why we are men

In the hot season during the races, the smells become very heavy. The heat is unbearable. The navigator has to take care of the pilot - pouring water on the pilot's head, which immediately evaporates. All around before our eyes is only petrified earth. There are often accidents when not only cars, but also people are disturbed. Tantrums, serious fractures happen. Temperature 40 degrees in the shade. There is one more serious obstacle - dust. They give out special filters that do not last long. Further - the beds of dried up rivers, and it is often required to go across the channel. Rocky ascents and descents begin. They are very cool. The competitors ahead have powerful engines and huge wheels. Therefore, they turn out large stones. Others have to go around.

Through the eyes of an eyewitness-racing driver

During some international competitions, the track crosses private properties, and it is necessary to open and always close the gates of these properties. If this is not done, you can consider yourself excluded from the competition. Imagine that there can be more than 300 such moments.

If the dust is gone, you can't relax. A kind of haze appears that trembles before the eyes. These are mirages. The car travels great distances, but it seems that you are standing still. This is how discomfort is born. From the fact that a person thinks as if he is the smallest value in this infinite space.

There are rivers, and you have to look for fords. If you're lucky, the previous crew has already found it, because one of the riders is standing up to his chest in the water. And it becomes somehow uncomfortable when you remember the warning: "Caution: crocodiles."

Some force the river like this. They hook one piece of plastic film from the bottom of the car, throw it over the radiator onto the hood, and there they attach another piece of film. Then they accelerate harder, and the water shaft immediately covers the car. But, thanks to the film under the hood, an air bubble forms. The engine continues to run, and the car "climbs" ashore.

All days are difficult, and the longer the harder it gets. The task of the racers is not to make a mistake and not to ruin themselves and the car with an inaccurate movement. If something breaks in the car, they do not wait for technical assistance, but they themselves make repairs.
