Having received a higher education, with an actor's diploma, Zemlyanikin entered the service at the Sovremennik Theater. At the end of the 50s, this creative team was headed by Oleg Efremov with his avant-garde vision of the stage process. Vladimir Mikhailovich lived within the walls of the theater for fifty-seven years. He took part as an actor in almost all productions. He played a significant part of the roles in repertoire performances. At the same time, he found time for filming a movie.
While still a student, Vladimir Mikhailovich began acting in films. His cinematic career was successful. The process developed according to the standard scheme.
