The future singer and composer was born in the city of Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky, on the island of Sakhalin, on June 17, 1967. A few years later, the Slutsky family moved to Ukraine, to Mariupol, where the parents of Igor's mother lived. The future composer spent his childhood and youth here. Igor recalls that Tariverdiev's music for the film "Seventeen Moments of Spring" became a kind of impetus for his creative pursuits. He often tried to select his favorite melodies on the piano. And very often he came up with something of his own. Igor's cousins on the mother's side were also related to music: they taught at a music school.
