Bruce Greenwood (full name Stuart Bruce Greenwood) is an American actor and producer. Greenwood's creative career began with performances on the theater stage in Canada, then appeared in cameo roles in television projects. Since 1982 he has been acting in Hollywood.

The future famous actor was born in Canada in the summer of 1956. His father during this period worked as a geologist, engaged in the extraction of minerals. Together with his wife, he was in Noranda (Canada), where their son Bruce was born.
The boy's mother worked as a nurse in the clinic. My father was not only a geologist, but also a geophysicist, doctor of science, professor, teacher at Princeton University. Bruce has two younger sisters: Kelly and Lynn.
Bruce's paternal grandfather is Ralph Allan Sampson. He was Astronomer Royal for Scotland.
