The beginning of a sports career
The future champion was born in Makhachkala on June 30, 1971. Sergey got into the sports section quite by accident at the age of 10. His physical education teacher considered in the boy such well-developed skills as speed and excellent reaction, and therefore sent him to the nearest children's sports school.
A little later, at the age of 18, after successfully passing the exams at the basic school, Sergei Nikitenko was taken over by the Makhachkalov branch of the Dynamo club. There he was made a midfielder. Of course, the parents were not happy with this choice of their son, especially the father, who predicted his son's career as a dentist. Despite this, Sergei did not receive further education, like many novice footballers at one time.
Work in football clubs
In Dynamo, his team in 1990 was able to break into the second league of the union championship. And everything would have been fine, but already in 1991, a turning point for the whole sport happened - the USSR collapsed. Because of this, the branch of the Makhachkalovsk club lost its license and could no longer take part in major competitions, like other small regional teams.
Sergei Vladimirovich was not at a loss and began to look for a new job. In the end, I settled on the Rostov SKA. Having played several not serious matches, Andrey came to the conclusion that he needed to look for a development perspective and move on. From 1993 to 2000, he was a member of such clubs as RosSelMash, KAMAZ, Trudovik, Neftegorsk and Torpedo. The end of his sports career was the game for the Orenburg club "Gazovik".
For all his activities in Russian and Soviet football, Sergei Vladimirovich scored more than 55 goals and played in more than 300 matches. Despite these achievements, he would not have become so famous if in 1994 he had not entered the first division of the Russian championship.
Further personal life
After leaving football, Sergei Nikitenko took up business in earnest. Moreover, in 2010 he managed to become the general director of Aviastar-SP. Of course, for this he had to get higher education in correspondence form. But even without the help of friends acquired over the years of sports activities, it was not done. However, in 2015 he had to leave his post.
Sergei currently lives in Arkhangelsk, he is 47 years old.
His wife Elizaveta Fedorovna Nikitenko bore him 2 children during the years of marriage, one of whom Alexey followed in his father's footsteps - he is engaged in a special football section and is preparing to move to the youth team of his city.
