The future Tatar poet, politician and journalist was born on August 1, 1948 in the village. Shammetovo, located in the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In the mid-60s, Minnullin worked in one of the regional newspapers as a literary employee. Robert received his higher education at Kazan State University, from which he graduated in 1973.

For the next four years, Minnullin worked as a correspondent for the popular newspaper Yash Leninchy. Then he was the editor and executive secretary of the "Kazan utlary" publication.

In 1979, the journalist joined the Communist Party.

In the early 80s, Minnullin was promoted to editor-in-chief of Tatarstan television. Then he took the same position in the publication "Yash Leninchy".

In Soviet times, Minnullin was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Central Committee of the Komsomol and the Tatar Regional Committee of the Komsomol. In 1977, the journalist won a republican competition, presenting to the public a work of art that he devoted to nature conservation.

Career in politics

In 1990, Robert Mugallimovich was elected People's Deputy of Tatarstan. Then he headed the commission of the State Council of this republic on national issues and culture. From 2000 to 2004, Minnullin was the deputy head of the State Council of the republic. In 2009 he was elected to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the fourth convocation, where he worked until 2014.

Robert Mugallimovich is a famous Tatar poet and publicist. He has written over thirty books in Russian, Bashkir and Tatar languages. He writes mainly poems for children, lyrics and scripts. Today Minnullin is an honored art worker of Tatarstan. He was awarded many times with certificates of honor, diplomas, became a laureate of the Republic of Tatarstan prize named after G. Tukai, as well as a laureate of prizes named after M. Jalil and A. Alish. The writer also has other awards related to his political and creative activities. For one of the collections, the author received the prestigious international prize named after H. K. Andersen.

In August 2018, Minnullin celebrated his anniversary - the writer and politician turned 70 years old. Not only prominent figures of art, writers, but also fans of the work of Robert Mugallimovich were invited to the celebration. The pop stars performed their songs in honor of the birthday boy.

The politician and journalist is married. He raised a son and daughter.
