Biography
Alexander Mokhov was born in 1963 in Shimanovsk (Vologda region). In addition to the future actor, his elder twin brothers were brought up in a family of builders. Sasha grew up a simple and modest guy who was not alien to work and the desire for creativity. In high school, he caught fire with an acting career and after school he moved to Irkutsk, enrolling in a theater school. After graduating in 1982, Alexander Mokhov began working at the Yuzhno-Sakhalin theater.
Several years have passed. Alexander managed to serve in the army and gain experience on the theater stage. A further decision of the artist was to enter the Moscow GITIS and receive a higher acting education. He studied in the workshop of Oleg Tabakov, who spoke warmly about the young and talented artist. In the future, Mokhov began to play at the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov and the St. Petersburg Alexandrinsky Theater.
Quite by accident, theatrical artist Alexander Mokhov found himself involved in the film industry. He tried to play one of the roles in the 1989 film Lawlessness. Unexpectedly, the project, as well as the role in it, turned out to be successful, and Mokhov was more often invited to the shooting. He was well remembered by the audience for such films as "Gray Wolves", "Siberian Barber", "Yesenin", "Burnt by the Sun-2" and others.
In 2006, Alexander Mokhov made his directorial debut. He directed the detective film "Diamonds for Dessert". Subsequently, Mokhov repeatedly returned to such work, releasing several more projects. Among them is the documentary “Oleg Tabakov. Kindling Stars”, TV series“The Last Janissary”. For some time, Alexander worked as a TV presenter, heading the TV show "Village Hour". He also had a chance to participate in the "Circus with the Stars" project.
Personal life
Alexander Mokhov first concluded in 1985, during his student years. The artist's wife was the girl Tatyana, whom he met in Khabarovsk. The couple had a son, Semyon. Relations in the family developed quite well, but 18 years later, Mokhov had an affair with Daria Kalmykova, who turned out to be twenty years younger than him. The artist chose to leave her family. In a new marriage, a son, Makar, was born.
Ten years later, the second family of Alexander Mokhov also broke up. The reason was the actress Irina Ogorodnik, who turned Mokhov's head during the filming of the project "The Last Janissary". She became Alexander's third wife and gave him a third son, Matthew. The actor himself prefers not to be offended by the attacks of the public about his young chosen ones. He admits that he gravitates towards cheerful and even a little spoiled women. In addition, Mokhov does not forget about his paternal responsibilities and gets along well with all his children.
