Plot
The friendly Ershov family has existed for 18 years. And all these years Katya and Mark lived in love and respect, raised children, Cyril and Anya, together they solved all problems. The husband worked, was constantly on business trips, and the wife became a housewife and directed all her efforts to create a cozy family nest.
Suddenly, the misfortune that happened to Mark destroyed everything. He dies, an investigation begins. One more thing is added to the grief of her loved ones - Katya learns that Mark, it turns out, has had another woman for two years.
Nina, not suspecting anything, dreamed of an alliance with her beloved, that they would have a child. So difficult circumstances bring these women face to face. And, of course, they behave like rivals, not knowing how much more each of them will have to sacrifice.
The situation escalates even more when Roman, Mark's brother, arrives. Making an attempt to reconcile women, he sees that his intervention only complicates everything. But he liked Nina, and they start dating.
The novel does not understand that Nina does not love him, she cannot forget Mark so soon. Nina needs love, but even more she dreams of becoming a mother. And only for this she starts a new relationship.
Once Katya sacrificed her career, her talent for the sake of her husband and son.
Meanwhile, Katya is also trying to start a new life. In the old days, she thought not so much about herself and her career as about her family. Now she has a chance to find an interesting job and feel independent again. Katya is also ready for another man to enter her life. This is her old acquaintance, who has long and unrequitedly in love with her … Days fly by, and both women understand that they have a lot in common, and the rivalry is in the past.
