The famous ballerina of the twentieth century, Zabotkina Olga Leonidovna, is a descendant of two noble families: one of her great-grandfathers is the actual state councilor Olenev, and the other was the vice-governor of Arkhangelsk. No wonder Olga was such a beauty.
Biography
The future ballerina was born in 1936 in Leningrad. When she was five years old, a terrible war broke out, the city was in a blockade. And the little girl dreamed of dancing, wanted to become a ballerina.
During the war, Olga's father died, they were left alone with their mother. And yet the dream was calling, and the girl entered the choreographic school. And immediately after graduation, she came to work at the Leningrad Theater. Kirov (current "Mariinsky").

Film career
In those years in the Soviet Union it was customary to “bring culture to the masses”, to popularize art”, and therefore many films were shot in the“film-ballet”genre. Olga Leonidovna took part in such films.
However, the very first film in which she took part was a feature film: this is a tape based on Kaverin's novel "Two Captains". Zabotkina played here the role of Katya Tatarinova - the daughter of a brave polar explorer who died due to the betrayal of his brother.
The film was a huge success: the boys went to the cinema five times to see again how truth and justice prevail.
Olga's work in this film was highly appreciated. Perhaps because she was very similar to her heroine in origin and in life history - Katya's experiences were very close to her.
A little later, Olga starred in the film-play Don Cesar de Bazan. The picture was shown on TV, and therefore the name of the ballerina was heard. She played here the role of Maritana, a street dancer. Because of her unearthly beauty, the king himself fell in love with her and wanted to make her his favorite. The girl was saved by the true love of a young man.
The partners of the young actress on the site were celebrities: Vladimir Chestnokov and Nikolai Boyarsky. And they admitted that Olga looked very organic in this film.
After that, Zabotkina starred in many more films, danced a lot in the theater. Her work received a well-deserved reward: she received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR when she was only twenty-four years old.
In 1964, Zabotkina starred in the film-ballet "The Sleeping Beauty", where she played the role of the evil queen, and this role was also great for her.
Personal life
Strange fact: Olga completely repeated the fate of her mother, having married at twenty-nine and separated from her husband at thirty-four. Her first husband was a musician from her own theater.
The second time Olga Leonidovna got married when she was forty-four years old. Her chosen one was the parodist Alexander Ivanov. For the sake of her husband, the ballerina left her hometown and moved to live in Moscow. They lived together for sixteen years until Ivanov died.
