Childhood and youth
Maria Sorte was born on May 11, 1955 in a small provincial town in northern Mexico. Her family lived very modestly, children were rarely spoiled with gifts. Parents only had enough money for food. But, as Maria recalls, an atmosphere of love and respect always reigned at home.
Her roots were Lebanese, after her grandparents, but the girl always considered herself a real Mexican.
Parents left this world early, leaving ten children orphans. Maria spun as best she could. She worked part-time on the radio, gave private lessons, helped women around the house. She grabbed any job that was offered to her.
When the youngest brothers and sisters grew up, she decided to start building her career.
Since childhood, Sorte dreamed of being a doctor. Having left with a friend in Mekiho, the girls were going to get higher education. Maria began studying medicine at the National Autonomous University, and her friend wanted to enter the acting department of the Andres Soler Academy. The girl asked Maria to keep her company at the entrance exams and to cheer her up a little with her presence. The girlfriends went to the Academy together.
During the interview, the professor of the theater Academy noticed Maria and asked her to read some excerpt from the Mexican classics. Sorté categorically refused, announcing publicly that she was not going to be an actress, but would become a famous doctor!
But the professor was so persistent and convincing that the girl gave up under his pressure and read the first thing that came to her mind. And what do you think? She was enrolled, but her friend was not.
So her film career began. Sorte began to study acting, and two weeks later she got her first role, for which she was nominated for Best Young Actress.

The most outstanding role of the young actress fell on the TV series "My Second Mother". The girl had to go through multi-stage auditions and selections, but she coped with everything "perfectly" and snatched this victory from the hands of the applicants. To participate in the filming, Maria even had to cut her gorgeous long hair and radically change her hairstyle. But she was ready for anything.
Sorté admits that, seeing herself in the mirror after the transformation, at first she was even frightened - the new image was so unusual. Over time, of course, I came to terms with such a radical change.
For a new role, she had to master the profession of a fashion model.

Everything that she needed for work had to be comprehended at an accelerated pace. In order to better understand the image of her heroine, Maria turned to private psychologists who helped her imagine the experiences of a woman who had experienced physical violence.
The actress admits that the filming was grueling. The character of the character pressed on the girl. For a long time she could not leave the role outside the film studio.
But according to critics, Sorte deservedly got this role and coped with it excellently. The audience was hypnotized and with bated breath waited for the next episode.
