People's Artist of Russia Elena Yuryevna Shanina is well known throughout the post-Soviet space. A native of Kazan and a native of a military family - Elena Shanina - has been teaching at the legendary GITIS since 2012. Biography and career of Elena Yurievna Shanina
On December 24, 1952, the future People's Artist of Russia was born. From the very childhood, the girl showed extraordinary artistic abilities, systematically attending the drama club at school and delighting her family with her improvisations. Moreover, due to the constant absence of parents at work, it was on the shoulders of the girl that she took care of her younger brother, the age difference with which was five years.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Elena went to the city on the Neva, where her grandmother lived. Here she easily entered the legendary LGITMiK (course of I. P. Vladimirov). In 1974, Shanina graduated from theatrical high school and entered the service in the capital "Lenkom" to Mark Zakharov, who after watching said: "The artist is nervous, I think she is good." With this parting word from the master, the talented actress began to actively develop her professional activities into adulthood. The stage of "Lenkom" is still a second home for the People's Artist of the Russian Federation.
Fragile tenderness and touching good nature distinguish all the characters of Elena Yurievna, and therefore it was in this role that she was able to win the hearts of millions of domestic fans. The theatergoers most remembered her characters in "Two Women", "Tartuffe" and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".
Elena Shanina's cinematic debut took place in 1975, when she first appeared on the set of the feature film Concert for Two Violins directed by Ekaterina Stashevskaya in a cameo role. A year later, there were small roles in the films "Twelve Chairs" and "Aty-Baty, Soldiers Walking …", which can in the full sense be considered a real startup in the film industry.
Currently, the filmography of the People's Artist of Russia consists of many film works, the last of which include her characters in the projects “Without witnesses” (2012) and “If you love, forgive me” (2013).
Personal life of the actress
Behind the family life of Elena Shanina today there is a single official marriage and one long-term romance, which became the reason for the birth of a daughter. The wife of the actress in the early "seventies" was a colleague in the creative department, Mikhail Polyak. However, the happy marriage was broken off due to her husband's alcoholism.
And then there was "all-consuming love" for Alexander Zbruev, from whom she gave birth to daughter Tatyana at the age of forty. Despite the fact that the father of his daughter did not dare to leave his first family, the relationship between them was very warm and friendly.
