Childhood and youth

Of course, he can become a lumberjack or a bulldozer driver, but this will violate established traditions. Igor Afanasevich Klimenkov was born on March 13, 1934 in the famous city of Leningrad. My father worked as a conductor of a symphony orchestra. Mother served in the theater.
The boy grew up and developed in a creative environment. From an early age he had to be behind the scenes of the theater stage. He learned to play the piano and read early. There was a large library at home. Igor studied well at school. He devoted a lot of time to studying in a painting studio. Best of all, he succeeded in sketches made in watercolor. At the same time, he found time for training in the fencing section. In the home circle, it has long been decided that Igor will receive a specialized education at the theater institute. After the tenth grade, Klimenkov easily passed the entrance exams and became a student.
Professional activity
According to outside observers, Igor Klimenkov was lucky in life. When the boy was thirteen years old, he was invited to play the role of a page boy in the cult film "Cinderella". Formally, this role is episodic. The young actor appears in the frame only three or four times and utters the same phrase: "I am not a magician yet, I am just learning." The director's insight lies in the fact that these words were spoken at the right moment, spoken by a good boy, whose image remains in the memory of young viewers for a long time.
To the great regret of viewers and parents, Klimenkov did not want or could not work in the cinema. Moreover, he dropped out of the theater institute after the first year. Igor tried to get a diploma at a pedagogical institute, but even here he did not find interest for himself. Klimenkov had free time, and he undertook to master the technique of playing the guitar. From the first days he realized that this instrument was created for him. After a while, Igor Afanasyevich organized a studio in which he taught everyone to play the guitar.
Recognition and privacy
Klimenkov's teaching career was successful. Once a student Irena Zykova came to his class. Sympathy arose between student and student, and then love. After some deliberation, the husband and wife decided to move to Crimea. There they were given a detached house in one of the villages.
On the Crimean land, Klimenkov started making guitars. The tools he made were famous throughout the country. Several copies were taken to Italy. The guitar master passed away in March 2006.
