Okan Yalabyk is a Turkish actor who is known to Russian viewers for the role of Ibrahim Pasha in the wonderful historical series The Magnificent Century. The beautiful and popular Okan not only acts in films, but also successfully plays in the theater.
Biography
The future actor was born in Istanbul, Turkey on December 13, 1978. Okan was the second child in the family, he has an older brother Ozan. His father was in the trading business, and his mother worked in the banking sector.
The boy was attracted by art from childhood. While attending school, Okan enrolled in a theater club and took part in all school performances. This led him to decide to get serious about acting.
After graduation, the future actor enters Istanbul University at the Faculty of Additional Arts, where he receives a professional acting education. One of his teachers is the famous Turkish actor Yildiz Kenter.
Career
Okan Yalabyk has always been distinguished by his stately physique and charismatic appearance, thanks to which he was immediately noticed by the directors. He was invited to play in the theater and act in films. After graduating from the University, Okana was admitted to the Istanbul Theater. The first theatrical work of the actor was participation in the play "The Seagull" in 1988. This was followed by participation in the television series "Serseri" in 2003, which brought popularity and widespread fame to the aspiring actor. In 2008-2009 the actor received two prestigious awards for theatrical performances. This was followed by work in such films as "Masterpiece", "Understand the beloved", "The Pain of Autumn", "Between Two Successive" and "Hunting Season". For his role as a police officer in the last film, the actor received the award for Best Actor in Turkey in 2011. Okan takes part in dubbing two cartoons "Kung Fu Panda" and a computer game, dubbing foreign films and commercials.
But the greatest fame in the country and around the world was brought by the role of Ibrahim Pasha in the television series "The Magnificent Century" in 2011-2014. In this role, all the versatility of the actor and acting skills were revealed, it turned out to completely merge with his character. For this role, the actor was awarded the Antalya Prize for Best Male Lead, beating Khalit Ergench (Sultan Suleiman).

Personal life
Little is known about Okan Yalabyk's personal life. The first and so far the only marriage of the actor lasted only a couple of years. His wife was the actress Hande Soral. The reasons for the divorce are unknown, but some believe that this was due to the constant employment of the actors, others - due to the lack of children.
Recently, at an event, Okan was seen in the company of 28-year-old actress Hande Dogandemir. But so far there has been no official statement. So Okan's heart is free to the delight of the artist's many fans.
