Way to success
Rostislav Khait was born in 1971 in Odessa. No other city has presented the world with so many humorists and satirists. Valery grew up in a family where creativity was in the first place. His father is the captain of the famous Odessa KVN team of the late 60s, his older brother Eugene directed the Gentleman Show program for several years, which was incredibly popular on television. Quartet I
In GITIS, where he entered together with Barats, they met future colleagues Alexander Demidov and Kamil Larin. 1993 is considered the date of birth of the humorous theater "Quartet I". Their first performances on stage immediately aroused interest. The debut performance "These are all stamps" was warmly received on the educational stage of the university. A few years later, the four talented artists were already touring the cities of Russia and the CIS. The performances brought real success to the collective: “Radio Day”, “Election Day” and “What Men Talk About”. The performances are imbued with sparkling humor and subtle satire. Slava was one of the authors of the script for these works. In addition to theatrical activities, Khait is known as the host of many official and recreational events.
Film work
For the first time on the screens the actor appeared in 1990 in a cameo role in the crime film by Vadim Derbenev "Hunt for a Pimp". The next film work 12 years later was the role in Ivan Dykhovichny's comedy "Money". The next page in Hait's cinematic biography began with the adaptation of his own performances of Quartet I. Now it was possible to get acquainted with their work not only from the stage, but also on the screens of cinemas. The comedy was watched by millions of viewers, the box office was incredibly high - it was a real success. In these projects of the quartet, as before, Rostislav showed himself as a brilliant actor, as well as a screenwriter and producer. Of the recent works, I would like to especially note "Election Day-2", "What Men Talk About-3" and "Wonderland". Hait's characters often resemble him.
