Margarita Sukhankina is an opera singer who has performed at the Bolshoi Theater for 10 years. She gained fame by recording songs for the Mirage collective.
Early years, adolescence
Margarita Anatolyevna was born on April 10, 1964. The family lived in Moscow. Her parents worked as engineers. From the age of 4, Rita sang in the choir of the Palace of Pioneers, then went to a music school, where she began to learn to play the piano.
In 1975, the girl got into the choir of television and radio, becoming a soloist in the older group. The collective has had many tours, including abroad. They appeared on TV, participated in festivals.
After the eighth grade, Sukhankina graduated from the music and pedagogical school. Then she entered the conservatory, GITIS, but attempts were unsuccessful. The girl began to study at Gnesinka, but dropped out. Then she still managed to get into the conservatory.
Creative biography
After graduating from the conservatory, Sukhankina began working at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, where she worked for 10 years. Then she left the troupe.
Back in the 80s, Margarita began to record songs with Andrey Lityagin, who was her friend. Many were included in the first collection of Mirage. The second vocalist was Natalia Gulkina.
Sukhankina also became the performer of all the songs of the 2nd collection "Together Again". The hits were "Music Tied Us", "Night Comes", "New Hero".
Margarita asked that there was no information about who performed the songs. She was afraid that for pop recordings she would be expelled from the conservatory. Vetlitskaya Natalya, Ovsienko Tatyana went on stage to the soundtrack, but no one knew about Sukhankina. Then Margarita recorded the third album "Not for the first time". After leaving the theater, she was engaged in recording the "Chuvash Album".
At that time, the fashion for disco of the 80s began, Sukhankina and Gulkina decided to perform together. The duet was named "Solo", and then the name was changed to "Golden Voices of the Mirage Group". In 2005 the collection “Prosto Mirage” appeared, in 2006 a concert took place in the State Central Concert Hall “Russia”.
In 2007 "Mirage" started its activity again under the leadership of Andrey Lityagin. In 2009, the album "A Thousand Stars" was released. Later, instead of Gulkina, Razina Svetlana, another former soloist of the group, began to perform. In 2016, Sukhankina began to sing solo, performing Mirage songs and new compositions.
Personal life
The first husband of Margarita Anatolyevna is Antun Maruna, a businessman from Croatia. They met in Germany and then got married. However, the marriage broke up after 2 years. Then Sukhankina had 3 more marriages: with a little-known composer, pianist, businessman. But each time the relationship was short-lived.
In 2010, Margarita Anatolyevna began to live with Andrei Lityagin. They adopted 2 children. However, because of this, the couple broke up, the relationship lasted 4 years. Sukhankina lives with children in the suburbs.
