How to hold the pen correctly? This question arises for parents when their baby begins to learn to write or draw. And sometimes adults, who are accustomed to typing on the keyboard, have to remember this too - if suddenly, due to their duty, they have to write a lot by hand, they have to remember their "children's" skills. How to hold a pen so that your hand does not get tired and your handwriting is clear and legible?

Instructions

Step 1

Holding a pen or pencil while writing or drawing should not be held strictly vertically, but at an angle (approximately 50-60 degrees) - so that the opposite end "looks" at the right shoulder.

Step 2

The handle is held by three fingers - middle, index and thumb, while all fingers should be slightly rounded. The handle is placed on the second phalanx of the middle finger (on the left side), while the index finger holds the handle from above, and the thumb “belays” it on the left. The ring finger and little finger are slightly bent inside the palm. The support for the brush during writing or drawing is the third (nail) phalanx of the little finger and the outer edge of the palm.

Step 3

Do not grip the handle too hard. The hand should be free, and the index finger should not bend - otherwise the hand will get tired very quickly.

Step 4

The optimal distance from the writing tip of the rod or stylus is one and a half to two centimeters. Holding the handle too close or too far from the shaft will again strain the arm.
