Instructions

Step 1

Find out if you need to receive registration at your place of stay. It is required if you live outside the place of your registration for more than three months. You can register at any time voluntarily (of course, with the consent of the owner of the apartment).

Step 2

Find the address of the branch of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) at your place of residence. This can be done by checking the information on the official website of the FMS. On the main page, click on the image of the map of Russia in the upper right corner of the screen. Select your region on the map. This will take you to a service page in a specific federation subject. There, in the section "Subdivisions of the Federal Migration Service" will be indicated the addresses and phone numbers of institutions you are interested in.

Step 3

Come to the FMS department with your passport and birth certificate if you want to register your child as well. Get the registration form from the staff member. Start filling it out by indicating the addressee - the FMS at the place of stay. Next, in the appropriate field, indicate your surname, name and patronymic in the genitive case, date of birth.

Step 4

In the next paragraph, write down the address of the housing in which you were registered before or have a permanent residence until now. Then fill in the information for how long you want to receive temporary registration. In the fourth paragraph, write the name of the owner of the apartment and who he is to you - a relative, friend, landlord. You must also indicate the document on the basis of which you are submitting an application - the owner's consent to your registration. Enter the address where you live now and your passport details below. Date and sign at the end.

Step 5

Give the lower part of the form to the owner of the apartment for filling. After that, you can return to the FMS department and receive the desired registration.
