Not every talented person is capable of leaving the construction site to make music. Vladimir Begunov did such an act and his calculation turned out to be accurate. Today he is known as a member of the Chaif rock group.
Childhood and youth
The Urals take a worthy place on the map of Russia. This region has long been known as the metallurgical and machine-building center of the country. Here, not only metallurgists demonstrate their abilities, but also those people who are engaged in creativity. Vladimir Sergeevich Begunov has perfect pitch and excellent memory. He came to Sverdlovsk when he was in the tenth grade. By that time, Volodya was already an experienced musician. Here, at the school bench, Begunov in a short time met and made friends with his friend and colleague Vladimir Shakhrin.
The future rock musician was born on March 25, 1959 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents at that time lived in the city of Simferopol. My father worked as an aviation technician. Mother worked as an accountant. Music and songs were often played in the house. The head of the family played the accordion decently, sang ditties and romances. His favorite song was "Scows full of mullets." After some time, Begunov Sr. was transferred to a new place of service in the Arkhangelsk region. Here Volodya played bass in a local rock band called Tsunami.
Creative activity
In 1976, the Begunovs moved to permanent residence in the capital of the Urals, the city of Sverdlovsk. Here Vladimir from the very first days joined the school ensemble. The creative tandem of Shakhrin-Runners turned out to be productive and durable. After school, the friends decided to get an education at an architecture and construction college. Almost the whole group moved to this educational institution. Then Begunov, along with a friend, was drafted into the armed forces. It fell to serve them in the Far East in the border troops. Returning from the army, Vladimir got a job at a construction site, and spent all his free time with friends and a guitar.
1984 is considered to be the date of birth of the famous rock band "Chaif". The first official concert under this brand took place in the fall of next year. And after this event, Begunov resigned from the construction department and professionally took up musical creativity. The personal career of a musician is inextricably linked with the successes and failures of a rock band. In 1997, the Ural musicians were invited to perform in the capital of Great Britain, London.
